Our Wedding Day

 

Spring is around the corner and that not only means good weather, but also a lot of couples start to get engaged and plan their wedding. Today I would like to share with you how was our wedding day and hope that you can find some inspiration.

Because we wanted a wedding outside, we got married in Spain in a very nice villa in Alcoi (Alicante). The day was June 7th 2014. It was a warm sunny day that I will always remember. As our wedding planners we chose Romeos y Julietas. They are Rosa and Marta and made possible that our day was perfect. As we live in Germany, planning a destination wedding is not that simple, and they made it really easy and fun.

All the flower arrangements as well as my bouquet were made by El Jardín de Mamá Ana. They make the perfect team with Romeos y Julietas. The colour palette we chose was mint and peach and they made all the decoration and flowers follow this colour scheme. I really recommend you to take a look at their website and you will be amazed!

Our photographer was Paolo Bocchese and let me tell you that it was a clear choice for us. His photos are amazing, full of light and very natural. We were very comfortable with him and we cannot be happier with the result. All of the images of this blog post were taken by him.

Mathias and his family flew from Hannover and they were staying at a hotel. The both of us got prepared at my parents house in different rooms. Then we met at the garden and drove together to the ceremony in an old Rolls Royce. The drive before it all started is something I will never forget. We were just the two of us, nervous but very excited and to have this moment to ourselves was lovely.









After the ceremony, a cocktail was served at the pool. Our catering service was Grupo El Alto. The food was delicious and all of our guests really enjoyed it. We also had a cheese table and some professional spanish ham (jamón ibérico) slicers.


For the photocall we recreated a parisian cafe (because we got engaged in Paris). It turned out amazing... we had the best team!



 I think that when you hire someone to plan and coordinate a day as important as your wedding, you have to be sure that they are real professionals and they love what they do. In our case, everything turned out just how we planned it and that takes a lot of work and coordination.

 

 

 Remember that planning a wedding can be stressful and my recommendation is to just enjoy it and make a day you will never forget. Having around good professionals makes everything go smoother and when the day arrives you will not have to worry about anything and just be in the moment with your new partner in crime and your family and friends.
