Skincare extras

Today I am sharing with you some skincare products that I have been using a while and really like. Before the pregnancy my skin was normal and a bit oily in the T zone, but during the pregnancy it changed to dry. I had to update my skincare to meet my needs and I think I found a routine that works for me. These products I don't use everyday, but only when I feel my skin needs some extra care or treatment. We all have different skin types but I hope you will find something that works for you too.

Clarisonic Mia 2: The Clarisonic brushes have been in the market for a while and since then, some other brands have released their own cleansing brushes. However, I have only tested the Clarisonic and do not know if the other bruses are worth the try. What I like about the Clarisonic is that it gives a very gentle exfoliation that can be done everyday, and as it is waterproof it can be used in the shower. I use it with some Nivea cleasing gel and works perfectly.

No Clogs Allowed (Soap and Glory): This exfoliant is a bit special. I use it when I notice that my T zone gets a bit too oily. It helps clean and balance the skin. It has to be applied on dry skin. Then, with wet hands massage it and it will get warm and start releasing the exfoliating particles.

Origins Clear Improvement: This is an active charcoal mask that helps deep cleanse the pores. It has to be applied on wet skin and when it has dried it can be removed with warm water. It reduces the appearence of pores and leaves the skin smooth and luminous.

Origins Drink Up: This is a hydrating mask. I love using it specially in winter. With the cold weather my skin gets very dry and need a bit of extra hydration. This mask is very dense and a little goes a long way. It has to be applied as a normal cram would and left overnight. Also, it smells as peaches!.

REN Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask: This is a chemical exfoliating mask with lactic acid. It helps reduce hyperpigmentation and returns the glow to the skin. Chemical exfoliants are a great alternative to the physical exfoliation because sometimes the particles are too harsh and can scratch the skin. The texture on this one is a bit odd... it feels like you are putting on marmalade on the face!.

Lush Lip Scrub (Bubble Gum): During the cold months, the lips also get very dry and chapped. Usually we apply a lip balm and that is it, but in order for this lip balm to work, the dead skin has also to be removed. I like this lip scrub from Lush because it is 100% edible and tastes like bubble gum.

I hope you liked the post and please, leave me in the comments which skincare products work for you,

Until next time,
Pilar
